Sometimes you might need to shop at another store than Kmart or Sears. Or perhaps by a discounted gift card for Kmart or Sears. This is how you can earn free SYW points when shopping at other stores online.
There are two ways to get points back:
Look for the current promotion
First I always go to syweverywhere.com to see what the current promotion is. Thees offers vary and do have a limit of one SYW (Shop Your Way) member per limit per offer period. See the picture above for an example. Then if you scroll way down to the bottom of the page it will say in fine print the offer details.
For the offer above through 5/7/17 the fine print says:
Earn $10 back in points when you spend $25 or more on qualifying purchases, valid May 1st, 2017 – May 7th, 2017. Limit one (1) offer per member. Points awarded after gift cards and discounts, and before taxes and other fees are applied. Offer cannot be combined with other Shop Your Way promotions. Void if purchase is cancelled or returned. Must initiate offer online through ShopYourWay.com, SYWEverywhere.com, or at participating in-store locations. Points may require up to 10 days to be awarded and will expire within 60 days of the purchase date. Not valid for Sears, Kmart, Lands’ End, and the following partners: Energy Plus, LifeLock, Lingo, local restaurants, Sears licensed businesses, Sirva Home Benefits, Sirva Mortgage and Staples. Offer valid for original recipient only. We reserve the right to cancel or modify the offer at any time in the event of fraud, abuse, unintended virality, or if technical or other issues arise. By accepting Shop Your Way member benefits and offers, you agree to the Shop Your Way terms and conditions, available at www.shopyourway.com/terms.
So the main points are limit one and may take up to 10 days to get the points back before you can spend them. And if you use coupons or coupon code your watch your out of pocket cost at that 3rd party store if you want the special offer of the points back. AND ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU ARE SIGNED INTO SYW WHEN YOU ARE AT THIS SITE. If you are not signed on the points back will not work.
Find a partner store and check that offer
Go here to see what stores can get you points back. These offers have a percent back you can get. They have no limit that I have noticed but the percent back they offer can change. Again you can scroll down to the bottom to see the fine print of the point back offer for that partner. The point back offers can vary depending on what store you are shopping at.
I like to use this menu to find stores faster.
After you find your store
For this example I am buying a discounted e gift card at Raise.com. So they just buy unwanted gift cards (like if you get a gift card you do not want) and also sell the gift cards. If you are buying you can buy the gift cards for less than they are worth and save more money when shopping.
If you already have a Raise.com account go here. Make sure you are signed into SYW. Then click to Raise to finish your purchase to get back the current promo + the percent back (was 5% when I wrote this). IF YOU ARE SHOPPING AT ANOTHER STORE LIKE Target, Macy’s, Kohls, Groupon, etc. Then skip the step below about setting up a Raise account. Make sure you are signed into SYW before you finish clicking to your store. So I would find Macy’s, see the percent back, make sure I am signed in, then click to Macy’s to finish the purchase to get points back.
BUT if you are new to Raise.com you can get bonus money and use coupon codes for money off your first order SO you would want to set up your account to get the bonus money. IF you use a referal link like this one here to sign up. You can get $5 credit toward $5 off a gift card! But do not use it right away. Often they will offer Raise new users $10 off a $25 order with a coupon code. They often change. My last report is it was coupon code RAISE 1 BUT it often changes so if a window pops up asking if you want $10 off, click yes and they will email you the current code. You can not use the $10 off and the $5 off at the same time. So some people are saving the $5 for another order because the $10 off can only be used on your first order.
After you set up your Raise.com account you will need to verify your email address or the device you are on (like if you are on a phone prove you own that phone). After you have set up your Raise.com account do not forgot to go back to the SYW site syweverywhere.com /raise,make sure you are logged into SYW there, and then click to Raise again to finish the order and get back SYW points!
Watch your SYW point history
If you did these steps correct, your SYW point history will say pending points about 24 hours after your order. It should say an estimate when you will get your free SYW points back also!
More info about Raise.com because I get asked about this every day
On Raise.com after you are signed into your account. Just search what kind of e gift card you would like.
I often check Sears first because the % off is often higher than Kmart and Sears and Kmart cards can be used at either store. They can also be used in the store as long as your store is not liquidating for going out of business. Most experienced cashiers should know how to type in the card # and the pin # for you.
I often just look at each store. It will show the biggest money off cards first. Then I scroll down to the amount I want to buy to get the best deal. If you need a bigger amount. You can buy more than one card for your big purchase. IF YOU ARE USING A RAISE COUPON CODE FOR $10/$25 purchase the total you pay after the code needs to be at $25. So you would want a $35 purchase. Most Kmart and Sears cards are $25, $50, $100, or more. So if you are doing this for the first time I would get to $50 in your cart. $50 card or $25 + $25. Then use the coupon code (for new users only).
After your purchase at Raise they will give you a confirmation info. And email you the e gift card #s and pin #s so that you can use them online or in the store. They say it can take up to 24 hrs. but I have often gotten them in minutes some times.
You can also watch for the info in Raise’s menu under your orders. So if you do not get the email with the card info then check here. I do not know the exact time when it would show up here but I have heard of one person not getting the email info and then finding the info here.
